speed reducer package. Helical and bevel gearing 

is carburized and hard finished to AGMA quality

Flender's Planetary gear units (PLANUREX®) are superior to parallel and bevel gear boxes for all applications requiring high torque and high ratio

in confined spaces. PLANUREX gear drives are more cost efficient and transmit the same torque at up to 50% less weight.

• Up to 24 sizes in single, double, triple and quadruple reduction types.

• Parallel shaft and right angle    arrangements in both horizontal and vertical styles.

• Ratios from 1.25:1 to 450:1

• Power range to 20,000 Hp and       6,900,000 in.lbs. output
  torque.

• Solid or hollow output shafts.

From 144,000 lbs in output torque, PLANUREX units are available with a wide variety of designs: 

shaft or foot mounted, concentric or right angle arrangements, slewing drive, or in combination with Flender’s radial piston hydraulic motor.

Planetary gear units are especially suited for tough industry applications such as ball mill drive, roller crushers for cement plants, winch applications in combination with hydraulic motors, fiberboard presses for the wood working industry, plate bending machines for the steel industry, slewing drives for stacker-reclaimers or ship unloaders, and tight-to-fit applications for tunnel boring machines.
